baby slings
|
| The concept of baby slings is not a new one; in fact it has been around for thousands of generations. Parents around the world have worn their children in simply constructed baby slings. These baby slings are based on a very simple concept and they provide ease of use and versatility. Though the concept is not new and has been in vogue in most of the western countries, baby slings are still fairly uncommon in India. This is because somehow most Indians perceive the baby slings as being very unsafe. But, with the changing trends in the Indian consumerism, it will not be a surprise if they become fairly common in India in a very short time to come. But around the world, most of the mothers today find that slings are the most convenient, enjoyable way to get around with their babies. The stroller on the other hand is a little clumsy to handle and is mostly left at home. while mama happily prances off with baby in sling. The heavy strollers are difficult to move in and out of the car, in narrow, cluttered aisles when shopping, and over rough terrain. And in places such as the beach and the museum don't allow strollers. And the best thing about baby slings is that it offers the versatility to wear your baby in a reclining position, or upright like a front pack, or on your hip either towards the front or back, or even completely to the rear like a backpack. There are many positions to choose from. In fact you can even nurse. Whichever position you choose, you'll have baby in place with the sling in just seconds, ready to go, knowing you'll both be comfy all day. In fact the baby draws lesser attention if the baby is placed in a sling. It is an amazing carrier, and the other types of carriers and brands of slings are mostly uncomfortable, difficult, bulky and hot. In fact moms who have twins can comfortably carry two children at once. In fact nature designed women with hips to carry babies upon. It is possible to place your baby astride your hip, in traditionally designed baby slings. In fact it is also the perfect orthopedic position for your baby's legs as it prevents hip luxation, which is a condition almost unheard of in more primitive cultures. Some of the other modern carriers can actually cause hip luxation and injure delicate spines. A baby should never be carried in a device that bears his weight load on his crotch. Therefore a busy mom needs a carrier that can be popped on and off in seconds, often with only one hand available. It is also difficult to fuss & struggle with confusing straps, or annoying padding that gets in the way of a proper fit. Author M. Hemdev data(c)Indian child.com.all rights reserved |
