baby toys
|
| Baby Toys are the treasures of childhood, but it is very important that they are chosen with care. Some of the important guidelines that need to be considered when one is choosing baby toys are listed below. It is very important to take these into account before buying them. The most important thing to be considered is whether the toys are suited to your child’s development level. Most of the baby toys have a certain recommended age, which should be taken as a starting point in the selection process of the toys. And it is also important tot be realistic about your child's abilities and level of maturity. For example the toys that have projectiles will just not be suitable for a child aged under 4, in fact even some 6-year-olds aren't mature enough to handle these toys. And make sure that the toy parts are bigger than the child's mouth if the child is aged under 3 years. This is important in order to avoid the chance of choking. The best way to determine whether a toy could potentially cause choking is to try and fit it through a toilet paper roll. If the toy or part of the toy can fit inside the cylinder, then it's definitely not a safe choice for your baby. Another thing that needs to be considered while choosing baby toys is whether they are too heavy because you your baby could be harmed if it fell on him/her. And while buying the toys check the smaller details and make sure tails are securely sewn, seams of stuffed animals are reinforced, and paint is not peeling. It is important that the stuffed animals be free of buttons, yarn, ribbons, and anything else your child could yank off and put in his/her mouth. Many Indian parents usually buy baby toys that are often one size too big to save themselves from buying new toys the next year. But this tactic can backfire and might even lead to serious injury if the child doesn't have the physical skills to safely control the bigger bike. In fact in India, not much importance is given to the process of toy selection for the babies. Most of the toys that the babies generally have are the ones that have been gifted by relatives and friends. But this is not enough. It is important that the parent spend some time and effort in selecting the toys as they shape the early formative years of the baby’s growth process. And always make sure that you focus on
what your child needs to develop both physically and emotionally. And
then go ahead and look for toys that can help them grow in those areas.
