You are having a baby and what could be better than picking up furniture for
this new arrival into your family. Baby furniture includes a cot, closet and
other accessories specially designed for infants. Many parents prefer to
make their baby sleep on the same bed as they do, but this is not advisable.
Why is this so? Firstly, sometimes when we are asleep, without realizing we
tend to move about and without realizing we may either roll over the baby or
just stretch out our hand in a way that hurts the little one.
A cot provides safety and security for a child as it has railings on all
four sides. So just in case you are busy and there is no one to tend to the
little one, at least you know for sure that the baby cannot fall out of a
cot, but may roll off a bed. Cots, come in various sizes and designs all
that are baby compatible. What does this mean? The railings of the cot may
have bells or other plastic toys hanging that infants enjoy playing with,
with their tiny fingers.
Apart from the cot there is the closet where you may keep all the clothes,
shoes, nappies, instead of having them scattered in different draws. There
are baby chairs that are specifically designed for the young ones that are
ready to eat at the dining table.
While all the baby furniture could cost a large sum of money, there is an
option of purchasing baby furniture at a discounted rate. This is an
advisable option as furniture for the baby would be required for no more
than two years, after which the baby would be shifted from a cot to a bed
and the little closet would be too small for the growing child. Even if you
plan another baby, the baby furniture can be stored away in a loft and taken
out for the next arrival.
