A machinery trader could be dealing in household
machinery or then in industrial machine requirements. The former has a
larger market than the latter, simply because the number of household
consumers outdo the number of industrial machine buyers. On the basis of
profitability, there are fewer industrial machinery orders, but the
deals happen at astronomical prices. In the case of consumer machinery,
it depends on customer requirements. India has still not witnessed complete industrial progress, as it is essentially an agricultural country. However with the economy heads attracting more and more industries to open in the country, the requirement would also increase in accordance. A machinery trader also deals in machines required in the agricultural sector. This is also a profitable sector as an increased number of farmers are moving towards advancement in terms of technology as far as their farms are concerned. For example, instead of the age-old manual methods of spraying pesticides, they prefer the automatic spraying machines. As India progresses technologically, machinery dealers stands to profit significantly as each new day brings in a new mechanism that needs to be sold. This maybe consumer products, industrial or agricultural, or then in the field of information technology. However one must always remember to deal with authorized dealers, rather than anyone who has just put up a shop selling old machines-made-to-look-new.
