  Angels are known to be symbols of prosperity, peace, tranquility, wealth, abundance, happiness, fulfillment, bliss, harmony, etc. In every culture it is believed that an individual has a guardian angel who guides them through the toughest of periods and warns them of any ills to happen; as well as bring in joy and peace. In fact according to legends, the world is supported by angels who work day-in-and-day out protecting the planet. They are considered to be God’s workers.

While a lot of mythical stories and fairy tales speak about these beings, no one really knows whether they actually exist. But, for the need of their presence, angels have been crafted into sculptures. These maybe placed on the drawing room shelf, or hung from the ceiling over your child’s cot to protect them while they sleep. These maybe gifted as charms to bring in good luck. Then there are the angels painted by renowned artists. All these form a part of collectible angels.

These artifacts have significance for those who believe in their power. In fact almost every angel is created to serve a certain purpose. It maybe to ward away evil spirits that haunt the home. Some are believed to bring in good luck for those who are going through a crisis. Some are regarded as angels of good health. Collectible angels are not limited to any religion.

In India, where people are superstitious, angels seem to have become a part and parcel of a large number of households. But then it would be farfetched to say that this trend is only in India.
