collectible autographs

We all dream about a special date with the star we adore on screen. This happens to people of all age groups, whether male or female; rich or poor. In certain regions of India the film stars are worshipped. Like in South India, fans have constructed temples of their favorite actor and actress. For those who do not go this far they are complacent with a star’s autograph.

Every famed personality, whether a film star, politician, sportsperson is idolized by thousands of fans. Their one signature could bring happiness to so many people. The most successful of public figures become legends and live in the hearts of their admirers even after they are dead. One such legend is Elvis Presley whose collectibles still fetch a high price.

Collectible autographs are precious objects for those who admire the world of the glamorous. People who collect autographs would go any distance to fetch a signature from their favorite star. In fact, some people collect autographs because they feel that they have an association with legends. It gives an all time high as seeking an autograph from someone like the famous Indian film star Amitabh Bachchan calls for being with him for a few minutes.

As a matter of fact collectible autographs can be sold for huge sums of money. Some collections have been auctioned from time to time. Graphologists spend time studying star autographs, analyzing their lives, which then helps biographers. Children no doubt mainly pursue this hobby. It has been distinctly noticed that girls tend to seek out autographs of male film stars and the boys would hound their favorite sportsperson. In India, the male youngsters are always looking for an opportunity to get a cricketer’s signature.

The collection of autographs need not always be something scribbled on paper. There are stars who their own clothes. Some autograph mugs, which are marketed. Cricketers place their prized signature onto bats and stumps. Very rarely does one seek a politician’s autograph, as these public figures have more followers than fans, so to speak.
