Have you ever noticed the color of rays that pass through a piece of
crystal? You can see the subtle colors of a rainbow, hints of it that
has a soothing effect. You need not enjoy this by holding a crystal
against the rays of the sun. There is a better and more convenient
method – Purchasing a crystal chandelier for your home. Even before the
light bulb was invented, the royal homes of time gone by had magnificent
customized crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
Even the Indian Palaces were adorned with such chandeliers on which candles were placed to light up the darkness of the night. These chandeliers were hung in a way that they could be pulled to the floor as the sun set, so that the candles could be lit. While Crystal chandeliers were a symbol of grandeur and royalty of the times gone by, even today people do purchase smaller versions to adorn their homes. After all home is where the heart is and decorating it with artifacts that please one and all is every homeowner’s mission. Nobody likes a stark home with bulbs lit up with nothing covering them. Chandeliers made of crystal are available in all shapes and sizes, right from those that would fit perfectly in palatial homes, to the smaller ones made for the compact Indian apartments. Maintaining such chandeliers could be a little tedious, as it has to be cleaned constantly, as any dust settling on the crystal pieces can be seen when the light passes through them.
