Flame burn treatment : To put out the fire, roll the victim on the ground and wrap with rugs, blankets or a coat.

Chemical burn treatment: Wash thoroughly the burnt area under running tap water for atleast 30 minutes till the burning subsides.

 
Electric burn first aid : Swtch off the main electric switch.

Cut the clothing away from the burnt area, if it adheres to the burnt area, do not try to peel it loose

Avoid undue contamination of burn wound

Apply ice pack or cloth soaked in ice water and change them constantly

Do not use cotton directly on burns as it adheres to it

Do not apply Ink, Mercurochrome, greases or baking soda over burnt area, do not try to peel it loose
