natural hair care products

The old-grandmother’s recipe that made us look beautiful
from head-to-toe, seems to have been pushed into redundancy. This is
more so in India, the land of Ayurveda,
which is based on the natural healing by herbs, because we generally
lack time and prefer the out-of-the-bottle hair products. Ayurvedic
practitioners knew nothing beyond herbal cures for all problems. Right
from illnesses to wounds to beauty therapy, there was a natural formula
that cured. World over people of all ages are facing the problem of hair fall. This in fact was not the case until the last decade. While a large number of cosmetic companies manufacture attractive hair products, the harsh chemicals do far more damage than one can imagine. Yes, looking trendy is the need of the hour, so hair coloring, highlighting, straightening, etc., have become a part of the beauty regime for females and males, alike. Nobody has to be left behind, but one is required to take certain precautions to prevent hair fall and other hair and scalp problems. Ideally one should opt for natural hair care products. Most companies do have a range of natural hair care products that include shampoos, conditioners, hair oils, etc. Herbal hair oils contain nutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins that promote healthy scalp hair and reduce hair loss. These natural products contain minimum chemicals and maximum natural ingredients. There are some Indian hair specialists who make their own hair oils depending on a client’s requirement. A commonplace ingredient that is recommended to either promote hair growth, or prevent graying or then even reverse balding is a fruit called amla, which is very sour. This can either be eaten or then its juice added to the oil or shampoo. Shikakai is another natural product. In the days gone by, Indian women used to shampoo their hair with Shikakai soaked in water overnight. As said earlier, there is no harm in coloring or highlighting your hair or then straightening those tresses. You can also use those gels and hair mousse as and when required. But, at the same time you are required to take measures against irreversible damage that can be done to the hair. When out shopping for your beauty products, do not forget to add to your list natural hair care products. ~ author Karishma Bajaj.
