get motivated seminars
|
Get-Motivated seminars had become enormously popular since their introduction in the 1950s mostly in sales-related fields, as they presented a real advance over basic reward/punishment schemes, which were based on Theories X and Y or even Frederick W. Taylor's scientific methods. Early attempts at motivating employees through these seminars were not entirely successful. A large number of companies also tried 1960s mind-game systems or Scientology. But this only ended up with resentful employees. By the 1970s, however, these get-motivated seminars conducted by the corporate began to show results. However, these get-motivated seminars are not universally welcomed. Deeply religious employees and their advocates have always leveled serious accusations against motivational seminars. ~ author Sakina Kadiwala. |
